Personalised facial rejuvenation starts with your assessment.

LVL is Dr Reza Akef's assessment-led approach to planning non-surgical facial treatments. It considers facial support, volume and tissue position, alongside skin quality, before recommending a personalised plan.

Treatment recommendations are made after individual assessment.

The approach

What LVL means

LVL is a planning framework, not a fixed procedure. Dr Akef looks at three things before anything is recommended — and different people may need different combinations of treatment, further assessment, or no treatment at all.

Anchor. Restore. Lift.

Dr Akef explains the LVL approach

Three conceptual areas are shaded: support along the sides of the face, volume in the mid-face and temples, and tissue position along the lower face and jawline. Skin quality. Skin quality is considered throughout: texture, hydration and surface changes affect what is appropriate and in what order.

Assessment comes first because the combination that helps one face may be unnecessary — or inappropriate — for another. The plan follows the assessment, not the other way round.

Dr Reza Akef, MD, CCFP-EM, has spent more than fifteen years working and teaching in cosmetic medicine. He is Chairman of the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine and an Assistant Professor at McMaster University, and he teaches practising clinicians on facial assessment and non-surgical treatment planning. LVL is the planning framework he uses in his own practice: an assessment of facial support, volume and tissue position — alongside skin quality — before any treatment is recommended.

Why assessment comes before treatment

Two faces with the same concern can need different plans. Dr Akef looks at support, volume and tissue position together — and at skin quality — to decide what is likely to help, in what order, and what should be left alone. Experience matters most in deciding what not to do.

Teaching and experience

Alongside his own practice, Dr Akef teaches facial assessment and treatment planning to practising clinicians. The same framework he teaches — assess first, then plan — is the one applied to every LVL patient.

Your assessment

How the assessment works

  1. Submit a short initial form

Answer eight short assessment questions and provide your name and mobile number. Email is optional; no photos are needed at this stage.

  2. Add photographs, if you wish

After your assessment request is saved, you can add up to three photos or skip this optional step. Use the same mobile number when sending photos.

  3. Dr Akef reviews your information

He identifies whether further assessment is needed before a plan can be recommended.

  4. Receive your recommended plan and pricing

A clear explanation of what is recommended, why, and the price — before you decide anything.

Completing a form does not confirm eligibility or book treatment. Final treatment suitability, package selection and quote are determined by the doctor following the necessary assessment.

Questions

Questions and answers

What is LVL?

LVL is Dr Reza Akef's assessment-led approach to planning non-surgical facial treatments. It looks at facial support (Anchor), volume (Restore) and tissue position (Lift), alongside skin quality, before any plan is recommended. It is a planning framework, not a single procedure.

Do I need to choose a package myself?

No. Packages are shown so you can see the range of plans and starting prices. Which plan — if any — is appropriate is determined by Dr Akef after assessment. The assessment button takes you to the same initial assessment form; it does not select or book a package.

What happens after I submit the first form?

After successful submission, your request is saved and you can optionally add up to three photographs. Skipping photos does not cancel your request. Dr Akef's team will contact you using the number you provided.

Why might photographs or further assessment be requested?

Facial support, volume and tissue position cannot be judged from a short form. Standardised photographs — and in some cases an in-person assessment — let Dr Akef plan responsibly and avoid recommending treatment that is not appropriate for you.

Is the online assessment free?

Yes — the initial online assessment process is free. Any fee for an in-person consultation will be confirmed with you before it is arranged.

How is the final price determined?

By the plan Dr Akef recommends after assessment: the products, quantities and techniques appropriate for you. Package prices are starting prices. You receive a clear quote before deciding.

Where and when are the Dubai appointments?

At Roxana Aesthetics Clinic, 825 Al Wasl Road, Al Safa 2, Dubai, on 24–25 October 2026.

How will follow-up be arranged?

Follow-up reviews are proposed for each package and are confirmed with you as part of your plan. Details of the review route will be explained before treatment.
